Key responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D with Lua scripting.
  • Implement core gameplay mechanics and game systems from concept to deployment.
  • Optimize game performance for seamless experiences across a wide variety of mobile devices.
  • Integrate monetization features such as in-app purchases and ad networks to ensure games are market-ready.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other developers to iterate and refine gameplay.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices in game development.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required skills & qualifications

  • Proven experience developing mobile games with Solar2D (Corona SDK) and Lua scripting language.
  • Strong understanding of cross-platform game deployment for both iOS and Android.
  • Demonstrated ability to prototype quickly and efficiently in fast-paced environments.
  • Solid knowledge of optimizing mobile game performance and managing device compatibility.
  • Experience integrating monetization solutions such as ads and in-app purchases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications

  • Portfolio showcasing shipped mobile games developed with Solar2D/Corona SDK.
  • Familiarity with app store submission processes and analytics tools.
  • Experience working with remote, multicultural teams.
