Key responsibilities

  • Define and standardize robotics data formats, schemas, and benchmarks.
  • Design innovative data collection methods (human demos, teleop, sensors).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on model training data.
  • Evaluate datasets for diversity, scalability, and impact.
  • Prototype experiments and tools for efficient data gathering.
  • Stay updated on leading labs (Tesla, Figure, 1X) and integrate best practices.

Required skills & qualifications

  • 2–5+ years in robotics R&D, data engineering, or applied research.
  • Strong grasp of robotics data pipelines and multimodal schemas (RGB-D, IMU, pose, language).
  • Experience in robot perception, control, or data-driven learning.
  • Excellent communicator with cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Degree in Robotics, CS, EE, or related field.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience at top robotics or AI companies.
  • Familiarity with embodied AI datasets or imitation learning pipelines.
  • Hands-on sensor prototyping experience.
