Key responsibilities

• Translate and localize documents, content, and communications to and from Javanese with cultural and contextual accuracy.
• Conduct linguistic reviews and quality assurance to maintain the highest standards of language use.
• Support cross-functional teams by providing expert advice on Javanese language nuances.
• Develop, edit, and proofread written materials in Javanese for various projects.
• Participate in the creation of glossaries, style guides, and best practices for Javanese language projects.
• Deliver clear verbal and written communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate remotely with global team members, ensuring smooth communication and project progression.

Required skills & qualifications

• Fluency and native-level proficiency in Javanese, with a strong grasp of regional dialects and variations.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Javanese and English.
• Demonstrated experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance.
• Deep cultural understanding and sensitivity specific to Javanese-speaking communities.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Proficient in using digital collaboration tools and language software.

Preferred qualifications

• Formal education in linguistics, translation, or related fields.
• Experience supporting language or localization initiatives in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with project management tools and agile methodologies.
