Key responsibilities

  • Review, transcribe, and correct machine-generated French-language transcripts, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and linguistic integrity specific to Canadian French.
  • Add and refine metadata tags and annotations to speech and text files, improving overall data organization and searchability.
  • Identify and resolve any inconsistencies or errors in automatic transcriptions by applying deep attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the customer’s team to share feedback on language nuances, cultural context, and best practices.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of your work, tracking changes and annotations according to project standards.
  • Provide constructive written and verbal feedback to improve ongoing project workflows and AI model performance.
  • Ensure all work meets strict confidentiality and quality guidelines as set by the customer’s team.

Required skills & qualifications

  • Fluent proficiency in Canadian French, with an excellent grasp of grammar, spelling, and regional vocabulary.
  • Demonstrated expertise in transcription and editing, especially in correcting machine-generated content.
  • Experience adding metadata tags and detailed annotations to audio or text files.
  • Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality control.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and feedback-oriented approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with transcription tools, software, or platforms is highly advantageous.

Preferred qualifications

  • Background as an audio engineer, data annotator, or professional transcriber.
  • Experience working on projects involving Canadian French language data.
  • Familiarity with AI training workflows or language data pipelines.
